This month saw an exciting new milestone for 9xb, with our move to a 2,250 sq ft (209 sq m) recently refurbished office at Town Centre House in Harrogate.
Town Centre House is a contemporary commercial building occupying a prime town centre location at the junction between Cheltenham Parade and Cheltenham Crescent. It is well connected by road and rail and benefits from proximity to amenities in the area including the Harrogate International Conference Centre.
Thanks to ongoing expansion, our second location in the region alongside our central Leeds office now provides high quality open plan workspace. Coming off the back of a consistent period of company growth, during which we grew by more than 30% and increased headcount by 24%, the move to bigger, more purpose-built premises was an obvious step.
Chris Hartnell, Associate Partner, Carter Jonas said: “Harrogate continues to have an acute shortage of office accommodation, and demand is especially concentrated in the sub-3,000 sq ft or sub-278 sq m market – with competition among local SMEs increasing for space. As such, tenants can find it challenging when it comes to managing their real estate requirements. Given these factors, we are proud to have let Town Centre House to 9xb – it represents a rare opportunity for the e-commerce specialist to take advantage of all the town centre has to offer for a booming business.”
Rob Burns, Managing Director, 9xb added: “Harrogate has been 9xb’s home since its inception in 2004, and we’re delighted we’ve found a new, modern space that accommodates our growing team. With companies continuing to invest heavily in eCommerce, and looking for alternative, more flexible solutions, 9xb is in a fantastic place to capitalise on the continued growth of online, and we look forward to doing it from our new office.”
The office opening was celebrated in style with the whole 9xb team enjoying a bbq and a few drinks on the new office balcony with views to the fantastic Majestic Hotel.
