9xb take on the Leeds 10k Corporate Challenge

Sunday saw nine members of the 9xb team take to the roads of Leeds for the Jane Tomlinson RunForAll Leeds 10k Corporate Challenge. With several marathon runners amongst us, and a lot of miles covered in training for the big day, we had high hopes for a successful race.

After a very early start, we made our way to the Civic Hall for our team photo, soaking up the amazing atmosphere in Millennium Square. Amongst the runners we saw some interesting sights, including Mario and Luigi, a Leeds Rhino, and some very brave ladies wearing not much at all, all in aid of some great causes.

The whole of Leeds seemed to be lining the route and cheering on the runners which was fantastic to see and which really helped spur us on to the finish. Despite it being one of the warmest days so far this year, we achieved an average finish time of 50 minutes, with our fastest runner coming in 26th place with a time of 35 minutes 42 seconds. Great effort Team 9xb!
