Social Responsibility

Responsible Web Development and Ethical SEO

Not only are we committed to our clients, but we also take pride in being a socially responsible company. Wherever we can we like to do our bit to help others and support a number of charities wherever we can.

One such charity is Henshaws College a very worthwhile organisation that provides care and support for the visually impaired of all ages, across the North of England. We've been fortunate enough to nurture a close relationship with Harrogate's Henshaws College, working with visually impaired students to engage and excite them about the web and donating our time and expertise to create a brand new website for Henshaws' 'Buy A Brick' fundraising campaign.

But it's not all one sided; the Henshaws' students have been a great help to us and our clients, such as the Thackray Medical Museum, reviewing websites to ensure they not only comply with accessibility legislation but that they really work in practice. So we thank the students for their (sometimes brutally honest) feedback and hope they enjoyed their visit to the museum.

That's just one example of the support we like to offer charities. Over the years we've supported a number of worthy causes including Saint Michael's Hospice, Save The Children, Martin House and the Bradford Cancer Support.

Furthermore, Rob Burns spoke at the Yorkshire Regional Convention for the Institute of Fundraisers about how the internet can help promote their charities.

We're also proudly supporting our very own Dan Howard, who together with twenty of his friends have had the very commendable (albeit slightly insane) idea of cycling the coast to coast route from Whitehaven to Tynemouth (a 140 mile ride, over three days!) in June to raise money for a number of local charities including Saint Michael's Hospice, Wegener's Granulamatosis Research and the Bradford Ear Trust. For more information about Dan's worthy quest, to make a donation and to read all about the village bike, visit www.birstwithc2c.co.uk.
