After 7 years as chartered accountant, Rob took up a position as Financial controller of a large publicly-quoted company where he continued to improve revenues and stability for 7 more years. Seeking a new challenge, he established and built one of the UK's most successful printing businesses - a brand that still thrives even in a marketplace that has never been more competitive. Along the way, he oversaw the creation of businesses in photography and graphic design before seeing the opportunity presented by online media and supporting the creation of 9xb.
After 29 years in the media sector, the ever changing technology still excites and inspires him, and his huge business experience means that 9xb never loses its focus on excellent delivery and value for money. Despite much pleading from sympathetic members of the 9xb team, he stoutly refuses to try to offer his skills to Leeds United after Ken Bates enormous rise in ticket prices.
