Web and applications developer
Rob has a real passion for IT, but started his career quite differently. Following the completion of a physics degree from Manchester Uni (where he had TV legend Professor Brian Cox as a tutorial partner), he then went to work in the print industry for St Ives PLC and followed this with a move into steel production as part of the QA team checking medical items like hip implants.
Eventually, he got the IT industry bug and studied for a postgrad diploma in software at Huddersfield Uni. He's never looked back! Rob then worked freelance for a while, joined Icelolly.com as their systems guy and now works for 9xb as a web and applications developer.
A keen fitness fanatic, Rob's passions include running, golf and skiing, plus he's a dab hand at the piano. If you fancy teeing off with him at a round of golf though, he's a handicap 9, so you'd best brush up on your skills!
