The Role

Your primary responsibility will be to achieve sales targets and build strong client relationships. Part of this will include overseeing projects through the agency and ensuring clients are well looked after by all staff involved. To be successful in this role here's a few of the key attributes you're going to need: Reporting into the Sales Director and working alongside the Account Director team, project Managers and SEO consultants, the role will encompass:

• Following up new business enquiries and working with the senior account team on marketing strategy to attract new business
• Proposal writing and pitching for new clients
• Handling quotations for existing client work
• Client relationship building and management
• Oversee website design, development and online marketing projects from commissioning through to completion
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal ensuring clear communication both internally and with clients
• Liaising with the project management team
• Liaising with the studio & online marketing teams
• Management of budgets
• Reporting
• Preparation of written documents
• Administration

The four core aspects of the role are:

• Pitching for and winning new business
• Selling into existing and new clients
• Client Relationship Management
• Overseeing Website Build & SEO Projects

Experienced PHP Web/Application Developer

Introduction

We are a successful, fast growing digital agency looking to recruit a talented developer to join our studios on the outskirts of Harrogate. This is an exciting opportunity within a highly reputable digital agency, so we're looking for a strong, experienced candidate. The Role

This is a development role, and you must be able to build dynamic websites and applications using the LAMP stack. We are looking for a lot of experience, and would expect you to have dealt with tight deadlines and complex projects on a regular basis. We are also looking for much more, things like:

• Technical - you will need a good understanding of PHP, MySQL and MVC frameworks such as Zend Framework or CodeIgniter. We would also expect you to have a healthy knowledge of xHTML, CSS, AJAX, JQuery and other similar technologies.
• Quality - our whole philosophy is based on developing websites and applications that show our clients a substantial return on investment and this is only achieved through excellence. You must be committed to rolling your sleeves up and putting real energy into every project.
• Organisation - it goes without saying that the successful candidate must be organised. Dealing with numerous large simultaneous projects in varying teams, whilst liaising with different project managers, makes it essential. Each project will have difficulties and deadlines and all have to be well managed.
• Environment - the atmosphere at 9xb is relaxed and friendly. The whole team gets on well despite the fast paced jobs and accompanying pressure. We are looking for someone who can blend the required urgency with a sense of calm, making for a smooth ride with colleagues and clients.
• Transport - We are based on the outskirts of Harrogate so a car and driving license isn't essential but would be useful.
• Experience - We expect you to have at least 2-3 years commercial experience in PHP and MySQL, and at least 6-12 months commercial experience in MVC frameworks. Ideally you will have been working in an agency environment working with large clients, used to tight deadlines and working to schedule and budget, although this is not essential.
