OK, this isn’t as sinister as the title might suggest, but is a great example of a) 9xb's commitment to our clients and b) using mobile technology to good effect.

We were recently commissioned to broadcast a large email campaign using our new Email Marketing Studio. It was a fast turnaround - as these things tend to be - so the creative was approved, the html framework developed and a test broadcast sent to the seed list. Only one slight problem; the client was in a meeting and couldn't be disturbed to give us the OK. And it was time to leave for our staff Christmas Party.

As always, the client comes first with 9xb, so we got our heads together and came up with the solution.

Being at the cutting edge and employing young people, it's no surprise we had an iPhone with us, and with the 3G signal available in the centre of Harrogate we figured we had the answer. So off we went.

As everyone was wishing each other a Merry Christmas over a glass of wine, the message came through giving us the OK to send. Without even leaving the bar, the campaign was accessed remotely, queued up and ready to go, all thanks to an iPhone and a studious member of the team.

A happy ending to our Christmas tale with the campaign dispatched on time, to budget and a good time was had by all.
