Project: Online Advertising with Google Adwords
There's much more to setting up a PPC campaign than just creating an account and following the onscreen instructions. If used wisely, PPC can be a fantastic route to market, but managed badly it can be costly and ineffective.
Your campaign must be carefully planned, constantly monitored and fine tuned to generate results. This includes reviewing your best and worst performing keywords on an ongoing basis both in terms of traffic, cost, conversions and ROI; reviewing ad text, bid amounts, landing pages, negative keywords, quality scores and integrating with analytics packages to track visitor behavior.
As mentioned elsewhere on our website, client confidentiality is of the up most importance, so it's not appropriate to name names or quote detailed figures but here's an insight into the kind of results that are possible.
Case Study
Our client has traditionally invested their advertising budget in above the line print ads, targeted at specialist national magazines. This kind of advertising is great for building brand awareness, but very difficult to monitor and evaluate the return on investment. As the client was initially unsure of how effective Pay Per Click would be, we started by focusing on specialist niches and developed keyword strategy's around these areas.
Once up and running we started to see results almost instantly and began to further develop this strategy by creating additional highly targeted ad groups targeting a wide range of markets and products groups. Tight integration with custom reporting tools and Google Analytics has led to a constant tightening and focus on keywords and bidding strategies to achieve maximum profitability.
Although the performance of ads groups can vary enormously, with sales from a single ad group of almost £10,000 from a spend of £150, the figures speak for themselves.
Important Note: Although we love to showcase our work, client confidentiality is of the up most importance. We regret that we cannot include detailed figures or statistics of the campaigns. But hopefully the quality and diversity of the work speaks for itself.
