    Consisting of the Alhambra Theatre, St George's Hall and the Alhambra Studio, Bradford Theatres boast some of the country's leading entertainment venues. The Alhambra Theatre is regarded as the North's premier touring venue and hosts the best in large scale entertainment from ballet and opera to variety and comedy, musicals, drama and Yorkshire's biggest panto.

    St. George's Hall is renowned for exceptional acoustics and an intimate atmosphere. The venue seats over 1,500 people and is a popular choice for bands at the cutting edge of British music and the cream of comedy. The venue hosts one of the UKs longest running Orchestral Seasons, with the Hallé as their resident orchestra. The hall also attracts big names in variety entertainment and receives regular children's shows and amateur productions.

  • Showcasing what makes them so special.

    Bradford Theatres' existing website was delivering a credible level of traffic and conversions, but there was a need for the website to offer a much improved online experience.

    The client recognised an opportunity to develop a website that would embrace the online channel and engage fully with their target audience. The new website needed to bring to life each of the Bradford Theatres individual venues, showcasing what makes them so special and making people want to become involved. Integrating the latest advancements in social media, the site needed to become a key tool in Bradford Theatres communications strategy.

    With many of the shows in huge demand, Bradford Theatres need to keep in regular contact with their customer base to keep them up to date with news on shows, awards and events. 9xb were also commissioned to work with the theatre's marketing team to develop both an outbound email strategy and broadcast platform to deliver content to their subscribers in a timely and cost effective way. From the off the client had a thorough understanding of the direction of their website, the 9xb team needed to help shape the ideas so they worked online.

  • A full integrated strategy delivering great results.

    Without any consistent online branding across the venues, the aim was to create a modern contemporary look and feel that would work for each of the theatres. With big name performers, we developed the page layout around high quality promotional photography and carefully worked social media into the creative.

    With large volumes of traffic visiting the website each day, it was essential to create a presence that encouraged interaction and helped people to become brand ambassadors through social networks. A key element of this project was to feature the community element in the form of visitor reviews, news and events. Media feeds were created to allow third-parties around the world to consume and publish Bradford Theatres' latest content on their own websites.

    The content management system supported multiple user roles with workflow management system for content submission, approval and publishing. Further to this, the site was carefully built to adopt the latest accessibility standards.

    So this client has all the bases covered with a new website, good search rankings, a social media strategy in place and an email broadcast platform.
